Food Hamper donated to a Great Family!

2 Nov

This week MarketMovers along with the generous donations of our customers, was able to donate a great hamper to a family in need…

The hamper was a great success, the donation contained a number of fresh items including; broccoli, patchoi, sweet peppers, garlic, onions, jalapenos, potatoes, apples, pears, grapes and much more!

This is something very dear to all of us at MarketMovers. Be sure to look out for more donations and if you do know of a family in need, feel free to let us know and we would be happy to add them to our rotation.

Thanks again and happy munching!

Live from the Market Movers’ Customer Centre

“Hi Rachel,

My order was just delivered and with the addition of the Iceberg lettuce the cost was $62.50.  I only had a hundred dollar bill on me and the delivery guy did not have any change so i went into my office to see if i could get change, which i did. I came back out and paid him and went back inside with my order and he left.  The guard then called me back to the front saying that the guy had returned.  Apparently I  overpaid him, giving him $83 dollars, when i thought it was $63.  I would never have known and I was quite taken aback and impressed with his honesty. In this day and age you really don’t expect that. Now i have even more incentive (as if i needed it) to continue business with you…  Kudos!”

Mr. Green reporting live…

“Over the past couple of weeks many of our customers may have a sharp rise in prices and a somewhat drop in quality in the produce that we have been supplying . This phenomenon is not specific to us alone, it is regional and somewhat global. Previously most of the produce that you guys were enjoying were from our network of greenhouse farmers, those lovely colored sweet peppers, plump tomatoes, juicy English cucumbers and the list goes on. However with the recent drought and then heavy rainfall that we are experiencing these farmers have been seriously affected many were unable to even continue production. (more…)
